I strongly dislike this show's "1 answer raises 023978420374 questions" rule  ACK!

so who watched it?

Rule #1.  Books are always better than films.  Audrey Tautou is gooorgeous.  and so French.  umm.....that was the highlight of the movie, besides all the Parisian scenery.

p.s. don't forget to play the screencap game!  Da Vinci Code is one of the answers *wink wink*

some questions she answered for her fansite:

What is the highest note you can sing?
High F

no honey...you couldn't hit the high E in phantom, therefore you can't hit the high F

If you were going to be in an opera, what would your dream role be?
I would be most excited to play Musetta in Carmen. I have loved the
aria Quando Men Vo since I was 7 at the Met.
In the aria Quando Men Vo, Musetta is addressing her
ex-boyfriend, who she sees out at a busy café.

ummmmmmmmmmmmmmm...............Quando Men Vo is a song from La Boheme.  That scene is from La Boheme.  Musetta is a character from LA BOHEME.   not Carmen.   Even operatically challanged idiots like myself could tell you that.  Excuse me while I used my *facepalm* icon

I finally understand the phenomenon that is Wicked

Glinda's "I know.  That's what makes me so nice :)"  never fails to crack me up.  and neither does this icon by stine622:

Friends List exclusive:  Wicked San Fran workshop boot

is it true they're going to make it into a movie???   And does anyone have the icon that says "M|U|S|I|C|A|L|S - my antidrug"?  or the one that has Kristin whispering into Idina's ear that morphs into the cartoon of Glinda whispering into Elphie's ear?  I know dru_it had it for a while, but now I cant find it :'(

Happy 1 year anniversary!  What's today the anniversary of?  [hint]

at this exact moment one year ago, Gerry officially killed me.  XD

How about a celebratory war?

Gerry pic courtesy of shatteringglass

This war holds a special place in my heart.  Why?  Because in the above Gerry picture, he is talking to none other than yours truly  ;D  (on ewanmesong's cell phone, I might add!)

My exact AIM away message from this time last year:

Elyse is at Craig Ferguson RIGHT NOW possibly meeting Gerry!!!!!

if i get a call from elyse and gerry's on the other end of the line...i will die happy  (:

and that I did.  literally  XD

Spring Break 06 is officially over :(  Spent the entire time:

  1. fixing up my trade list - which has grown exponentially @_@
  2. in shock after my parents offered to pay for an apartment in NYC.  If I make a good living later on in life, I pay them back without any interest.  If I don't succeed, I don't have to pay them back, but I live with the guilt.  .......................
  3. trying to compose a song on the piano, only to find out it sounds like every song I've learned how to play rolled together
  4. falling SO MUCH in love with Beauty and the Beast (the stage show) + Susan Egan, Gary Beach, and Burke Moses
  5. learning how to make beef jerky.  this resulted in me puffing up like a blowfish after retaining massive amounts of water from eating too many reject batches
  6. watched On A Clear Day.  Scotland makes the most charming movies.  period.
  7. went to see the cast of One Tree Hill at the mall & consequently got my eardrums shattered by tweens.  The little teeny-boppers were fighting over these dinky shirts being thrown into the crowd.  Somehow, I managed just stick my hand out and accidentally catch one.  The girls behind me were not happy
  8. Any Tyler Hilton fans?  (Yes, he's the kid who played Elvis in Walk the Line)  I got videos of him performing a few songs @ the mall appearance for those interested.  (note: you may be deafened by screaming teenage girls.  We were pretty close though, so Tyler might have been loud enough to drown them out)
  9. They started playing Phantom commercials on TV & the radio XD   26 days!!!  Does anybody have solid info on who's going to be taking over after Gary and Beth leave??

Aida mini review

Adding this to my list of musicals that I love. ♥  Went to the first performance of Aida with a couple friends today...and let's just say you could definitely tell it was the first show.  (There were a few kinks, and a couple of the actors sounded nervous.)  We went to find our seats in the balcony, but since we got there a bit early, I decided to go down and check out the orchestra.  Trying to sneak a peek at the sheet music, I got to talking to the keyboard player.  When the show was about to start, he invited us to sit in the 2nd row as his guests since his parents couldnt make it to the show  me:   o_o ...OMGOK  I could literally see their sweat!  At one point I saw one of the actresses lose a fake eyelash XD

Stephanie Dew (Amneris) did a fairly good job, but she hit a few sour notes at the beginning (my guess: nerves kicked in) but after a while she got into the swing of things and all was restored in the Aidaland.  Nella Mupier (Aida) was ah-may-zing.  Girlfriend could totally make it on Broadway.  Radames......oh this was a tough one to swallow.  It's never easy being compared to the original Adam Pascal Radames :\   If anybody out there has listened to the New York Theater Workshop recording of Rent...the guy who played my Radames ironically sounded a lot like the NYTW Roger (and I don't mean that in a good way).  Half-way through his solo I was contemplating turning my ipod on and just listening to Adam!Radames while watching NYTWRoger!Radames.  One thing I did like about this Radames was that he's a lot more physical than Adam was  >:D  always touchy touchy.  When it got time to sing Elaborate Lives, they were practically two feet away from me and oh how I wished it was Adam instead of NYTWRoger!Radames :(   After watching the original Broadway cast of Aida do their thing, I think I seriously would have passed out at the sight of Adam having song sex with Aida within reaching distance *wibble*     scratch that.  I would have just passed out at the sight of Adam within reaching distance. period.

I ended up coming out with one boot.  Was too busy enjoying the show the rest of the time XP

Disclaimer on pictures/videos

1. Please do not re-post any photos or re-distribute any videos from this entry.
2. Videos were taken with a point-and-shoot camera without zoom.  Translation? they're dark as hell and crap quality
3. Our seats were literally in the very last row, therefore the actors are iiiiiiiiiitty bitty, if even visible.  All videos are also blind-shot.  My apologies in advance if I suck at aiming.
4. Sound is muffled in a few parts.  This is due to me being a loser and not knowing where my mic is.  which leads me to #5...
5. Music of the Night has a hint of Darth Vader in it.  you'll see what I mean.......
6. I have ADD.  ok not really....but I have problems staying quiet :P
